Celeste W. is partnering with Birth Choice of Oklahoma for this year’s ride. The mission statement for the center is: “Birth Choice exists to encourage any pregnant woman to choose the gift of life for herself and her unborn baby by providing the means to do so.”
I get stuck thinking that the Women’s Care Centers are only serving those who don’t come from a good background or are in an abusive relationship or come from a broken home and have no support system. But these places serve women from all different backgrounds and no matter where they come from, all are treated with dignity and respect.
As we prepare for another year of Biking for Babies, we too go forth to share the good news – to proclaim a culture of life throughout our country. I pray that our hearts will be open to receive the inspirations of the Holy Spirit and to persevere when things get tough.
We see brokenness in our world all the time; there’s no doubt about it. And most everyone desires to help someone in some way, whether we are Catholic, Lutheran, Christian, or anything else. We search for the greatest need and say, “There is where I want to give back.” Philosophers, teachers, rabbis, preachers, monks and nuns, inspirational speakers–all of them have offered their own insight to the world’s greatest need by how they dedicate their life. But to quote one of the most quotable humans of all time: “But I shall show you a still more excellent way.”

“Mary’s fiat was more than just a yes! Mary agreed to follow God’s plan, even though she did not understand where it would take her. The women that receive services from our nation’s pregnancy resource centers are often in similar predicaments to Mary, though often less willing to say yes.”
“Imagine if, instead of throwing up our hands at the distance between our capabilities and the power and preparation that a situation called for, we responded like Kevin did? With long, careful preparation of body and mind and spirit? To experience this complete dying to our weaknesses we do not experience until death; but, we can get a taste of it that can resonate across our whole physical and spiritual lives in the same way as Kevin’s.”
Holy Week is a beautiful time to unite our lives to the Cross so that our sufferings may be glorified through His Resurrection.

We are excited to share with you the success of our 2015 ride and the changes Biking For Babies is making for 2016. As always, thank you for your prayers, generosity and self-sacrificial love. In this Year of Mercy, may we learn to love more and continue to give as He did and continues to do.
Just as our leadership team, riders, and support crew teammates come together from all over the United States to ride out our mission, so too do we want our PRCs to work in partnership to succeed in our ultimate mission of conquering abortion everywhere.
