PRC of Rolla director to speak at B4B Celebration of Life

Erin-Dempsey

Erin is a second-year rider for Biking for Babies. Last year, she rode with the Southern Team, even though she’s a Chicago-area native! This year, she’ll be rolling down the Mississippi on the Northern Route. Read on as she describes the PRC she’s been partnered with: Pregnancy Resource Center of Rolla in Rolla, Missouri.

This year I am proud to represent PRC Rolla for the second time as a Biking for Babies rider and missionary. PRC Rolla provides mothers with pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, and support. They have an amazing success rate of 99.7% and focus working with abortion-minded clients.

Speaking with the director of PRC Rolla, Joseph Dalton, he told me that their motto is

“one baby at a time.”

This year, they have had to step it up a notch. Recently they were working with a mother of twins, and now they are working with a mother expecting triplets! But through it all, the staff is there to provide the best care they can. They also work closely with the maternity home St. Raymond’s Society to provide a safe place for mothers in need to live, and help them work towards pursuing education, careers, and the means necessary to achieve their goals. (One of their clients Kelsey shared her story at their recent Banquet of Life; you can hear her story of choosing life on their YouTube channel here.)

This year, Joseph will be a featured speaker at our Celebration of Life in St. Louis on July 15. Since we initiated our partnership, Joseph has shared our message to his friends and family, hoping to end the Culture of Death with us! He will speak about his pregnancy resource center, share real stories from his PRC like Kelsey’s, and encourage all of us to celebrate human dignity and support each other in the fight to win daily battles.

Returning this year as a rider, I am looking forward to working with my team to have a safe and successful journey to St. Louis. I know this year will bring new challenges. A few weeks ago I was on a training ride in Wisconsin, and I got a taste of the hills that await me in July. My teammates do a great job encouraging and offering advice on how to tackle that next hill. I hope you will join us in St. Louis!
