In Grateful Thanksgiving

written 11/27/2024

Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Biking for Babies! We’re so thankful for you and the role you’ve played in the mission of Biking for Babies this year. Please know of our prayers for you and your loved ones this Thanksgiving.

We also want to thank all pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes, and the people who work or volunteer for them, for their service to women, children, and families.

With joyful thanksgiving, Biking for Babies just sent $415,000 in donations to 95 pregnancy centers! Praise God! Brittany Ross, Biking for Babies’ Director of Finance, is pictured with all the checks just before mailing them.

According to a 2021 study, there are around 3,000 pregnancy centers in the US. In the words of John Paul II, “Thanks to the work of such [pregnancy] centers, many unmarried mothers and couples in difficulty discover new hope and find assistance and support in overcoming hardship and the fear of accepting a newly conceived life” (The Gospel of Life, n. 88).

One of our partnered centers, Vida Medical Clinic (WI), just completed one year of programming at their maternity home, “Trinity House.”

This year, Trinity House served 24 women, 14 babies and toddlers, and 13 babies in the womb. They saw a mother heroically place her child in the arms of its adopting parents, mothers graduate from their program and launch successfully into the world, and, most heartbreakingly, a mother bury her child, lost at 25 weeks. Communities like Vida are paramount to walking with women and families, adding to or becoming their support systems in any number of pivotal moments of their lives. We are thankful to be able to support them in partnership with our young adult missionaries and mission partners like you.

Our end of year campaign is underway! You can help the next cohort of young adults experience this life-changing mission by making a gift today and providing this formation for them.

Once again, happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Make sure to give thanks to God for the gift of life. And with all the advertisements for spending money on material things, remember the impact you can have on others by giving.

God bless you,

Chris Massaro
