“I can’t do this again.”
“I was just starting to be stable.”
“I have this new job; I can’t afford to lose it.”
“I know you offer help, but there just isn’t enough help for me to do this again. I’m sorry, I need to end this pregnancy.”
And that’s the last we heard from Elizabeth.
She ran out of [Alternatives Laurel Highlands Pregnancy Center] with her head down. She was nine weeks along, and we had just introduced her to her bouncing baby on the ultrasound.
Elizabeth didn’t want a printout of her ultrasound images, and when we reached out with a phone call to check on her, we got no answer.
Imagine our surprise when we later got a call from Elizabeth, and she scheduled an appointment to pick up clothes and diapers for her new baby girl!
“I couldn’t have the abortion. I’m so glad I didn’t. My daughter is amazing, and I’m in a good place right now.”
“Thank you for everything. After I scheduled the abortion, I couldn’t stop thinking of seeing my baby and seeing her little heartbeat during the ultrasound. I can’t believe I even considered not having her. Now I can’t imagine my life without her.”

Genuinely, it is because of your support of Biking for Babies and our mission to renew the culture of life through young adult formation and support of pregnancy resource centers that stories like Elizabeth’s exist.
For that, we are so so grateful for your continued support of Biking for Babies.
