Missionary Formation Coordinator

Hello! I am Josh Geinert and, as of September 2025, the Missionary Formation Coordinator on staff here at Biking for Babies. With much gratitude, I am a husband, a father of five, and a son of the King of the Universe. I love to hike, bike, garden, and spend time with family. I come from a hardworking and dynamic farm family who raised me on the prairie of North Dakota, a state I hold near and dear to my heart.
While I have worked professionally in Road Construction and Vacation Travel, I have always been passionate about helping others to live the faith while living it myself. I find that it is uniquely rewarding to walk with people through life and watch them discover the person that God made them to become. It is in giving of myself in this way that He has shown me who I am and how abundantly He loves me.
In 2019, God gave me an opportunity to live out that passion within the mission of Biking for Babies. He introduced me to Biking for Babies at a FOCUS conference. At the time of writing this, He has since prompted me to be a rider missionary on four National Rides and a Support Crew missionary on one. During this time, He has called me into leadership positions of Team Leader and Team Leader Coordinator, both of which have brought abundant blessings into my life. He now has called me into the staff position of Missionary Formation Coordinator. I am excited to offer my skills of leadership, mentorship, and instruction to promote the Gospel of Life in our missionaries and to influence the culture of our world to respect life, both in ourselves and in all others.
God showed me the weight and importance of this mission when God called my wife, Emily, and I to parenthood. We had every support we needed in our pregnancy and young parenthood: great relationships with each other’s parents, a good job, a safe neighborhood, a firm faith, a strong marriage, and community. We were gifted with most of the gear and supplies needed to raise a child and were able to purchase the rest. We had examples of excellent parenthood in our circle of friends and family. And yet, it was still hard, much harder than we could imagine. In the moments of struggle, we couldn’t help but wonder, “How much harder must it be for those in crisis pregnancies?” Because we had been formed and deeply impacted by being Biking for Babies missionaries, we were able to appreciate the blessings that we had been given and respond by being the support that other families lacked. God calls all of us to acknowledge the gifts He has given to us and share those blessings with others, especially to the poor. That is why I am a Biking for Babies missionary.
