Joe Armen

Advancement Coordinator

Hello, Joe Armen here, and I am the newest full-time member of the Biking for Babies staff, joining as the Advancement Coordinator. Born and raised on the East side of Cleveland, Ohio, I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2022 and have since been on a mission to seek God’s will for my life.

In college, I had a dream of working in professional sports one day. I love competitions and have played sports my whole life, still getting some jumpers up in a men’s league at the YMCA once a week. However, things don’t always work out the way we expect, and I can say I have fully experienced what it means when people say, “God has a plan for you.” It has not always made sense to me at many moments in my life, but I can look back now and see the purpose for why certain things have happened to me, and where they have led me to today.

When I was first introduced to Biking for Babies, I knew I’d need to ride someday for this important cause. In the beginning stages of discerning this full-time position, I felt increasingly convinced that God was screaming at me to join this mission. I love comedy and laughter, and I think a good indicator for measuring your happiness on a daily level is recounting how often you are laughing. I kept noticing how happy I felt and the laughs I was sharing after every interview, therefore when I was offered the opportunity, it was a no-brainer for me. I am so excited to bring my God-given gifts of energy and humor to this organization, as well as my professional background and passion for athletics, and use them for this amazing purpose.

This mission speaks to me due to my childhood, with my parents separating when I was about 11. I got to see my mom do just about everything for my three siblings and me. While my mom did not go through pregnancy alone, I have been able to see firsthand the challenge that is parenting without a spouse in the picture. I know the task can seem daunting, but God will take care of us. I want to help all women, no matter what the situation, know there is support for them. Human life has value whether born into a stable two-parent household or an unplanned single parent one and it is our duty to help others follow God’s call and bring new life into the world. Life is the most important thing we have, and ultimately, we all need each other. Looking forward to renewing the culture of life in our world!
