My name is Ryan Arnoldy, and I will be a missionary rider on the Michigan Route this year. As a native Michigander, I cannot wait to ride across my home state. In recent years Michigan has become one of the most progressive abortion states in the country. The governor once proclaimed, Planned Parenthood Makes America Great. If I have learned anything in the past year or so since Roe was overturned, it’s that the fight is far from over. After a year hiatus from Biking for Babies I think the quote from Dietrich Bonhoeffer sums up best why I decided to return “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.” After all the lies and violence I have seen in the last year cast upon the Pro-Life movement, I will be silent no longer! I first heard about Biking for Babies at the SEEK conference in San Antonio TX where I fell in love with the idea of combining my love for physical fitness with my passion for the pro-life movement. Throughout the past 6 years the pro-life movement has truly become a part of my everyday life. I am a part of Biking for Babies because I feel that the unborn deserve to have a voice, and that God has called upon me to be that voice in a society where abortion has been normalized and oftentimes praised by the mainstream media as well as our elected officials. My goal is to raise awareness for pregnancy resource centers as well as the pro-life movement using the gifts and talents that God has given me along the way. I look forward to returning to Biking for Babies for a 6th year so I can continue to spread the awareness of the lifesaving works that pregnancy resources centers provide.
