Hello Everybody,
I am Stacy!
My home is on the south side of Chicago in a neighborhood called Beverly. Right now I’m at the University of Illinois majoring in Human Nutrition with a Chemistry minor. The human mind, body and spirit absolutely astound me; to studying the complexity of life in my classes, to experiencing the potential of my own body’s strength in my athletics and in other athletes, and to witnessing the power of love in the example of so many people… it all fascinates me.
I am not too good at school, but I’ve always had a thing for moving around. I first started swimming when I was about 3 years old and started playing soccer at 5. When I was about 11 I did my first triathlon. At Mount Assisi high school I started to run cross country, was on the dance team and played soccer (best sport ever!). I quit dance for triathlons and soccer for track.
Now I run for the university on their cross country and track team and compete for the Fighting Illini Triathlon club. I love triathlons and I may want to get back into them professionally when I am done running. And if I can stay healthy. I have a bad habit of getting injured. Soooooo that was long… I’m just really excited to have another chance this year to use my athletics for a greater purpose. I learned a lot about spirituality through my running and I now use it as a spiritual meditation. Its pretty sweet actually, feel free to ask me about it. I can’t wait to see how biking for babies goes this year. I’ve very passionate about the pro-life movement and fighting for the culture of life.
I am not just into sports, I LOVE the beach, shells, the little mermaid, pigs, baking, cooking, painting, campfires, stars, spacing out and going on mission trips. I just recently went to Haiti for a little bit and I learned a lot about my mission in life. I’ve learned a lot about Love this past semester. It really is the solution to everything. It really is our purpose in life. I want to promote life, I want to promote Love!
Thank you for supporting us and supporting the Culture of Life.
Much Love!
Stacy
P.S. I hope you can help me raise $40,000 for Pro-Life charities. I can’t do it alone!
