Hello my friends!!
My name is Holly Eaton and I am from the small small town of Rockton, Illinois on the border of Wisconsin and Illinois just north of Rockford. Currently, I am a senior at University of Illinois in Chambana studying General Engineering with a secondary field in civil structures. I have interests in going to grad school for structural or geotechnical engineering design when I graduate in December of this year.
I have been running since sixth grade due to a motivational 6th grade teacher and an inspiring grandfather! I ran cross country for four years of high school and track for one. My passion however was primarily in soccer. I played from the age of 5 until sophomore year of high school . After an unfortunate injury I grew more of a focus in running.
After starting college, I thought it would be a great idea to join the triathlon team. This is where I met my wonderful friend Stacy. When she told me about Biking for Babies, I could not have been more excited. It will be my first year on the trip and I am stoke to pedal my heart out to help save the hearts of the lives God brings into this world.
Beyond sports and school, I also am in Engineering without Borders. In the project I am working on filters that are being designed to help modify the water system in Guatemala. It is a fun way to apply what I am learning while helping third world countries.
Lastly I enjoy walking around outside on nice days doing cartwheels every other step simply because life is grand and something to be experienced by everyone who is created by Him. Thank you to all those of you who are donating to the cause!
