The Dallas Team

This team will ride from the Lone Star State to Chi-town.

Jimmy Becker

Co-Captain

I am a newly married, soon-to-be-graduated, student in all respects, currently studying Finance and Strategy at the University of Illinois.  This is my seventh year with Biking for Babies, and I look forward to offering up all the pains and joys for expected mothers and young families.  Thank God for creation, salvation and multiplication.  Be saints!

Christine Kania

Co-Captain

I am a middle school teacher in the Chicago suburbs. I completed my first Biking for Babies ride last year with Team Dallas, and I am so excited to be back this year as a team leader. I believe that the best way to live out the pro-life message is to live your own life in a way that shows how much you value it. Endurance sports and sharing the pro-life message make me come alive, and I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to do both.

Ignatius Payne

Rider

Hey everybody, My name is Ignatius Payne, but if that is too much to say, you can just call me Iggy. I am a student at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL close to where I live. This is my second year doing Biking for Babies and I’m as thrilled as ever. I feel like there is no better way to celebrate life than to ride 1000+ miles :-) This is an exciting time to be involved in the pro-life movement.

James Voissem

Rider

So if you ask Christine Kania, she will tell you that procrastination is my middle name. Be that as it may, my first and last name is James Voissem. I am 21 years old, work for UPS, and attend College of Dupage. My family and I have deep roots in the pro-life cause and I learned about the ride from Christine and Ignatius last year. I love being outdoors and see this as being a great way to spread the ProLife message as well as a chance for all of us to grow spiritually in our faith.

Colleen Flanagan

Rider

Hello everyone! My name is Colleen Flanagan, and I live in Woodland Park, CO. I am a grad student at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, studying public administration and nonprofit management. In my spare time I am the volunteer coordinator for our local Habitat for Humanity. I first learned about Biking for Babies last year when my friend Christine called me and said, “I’m doing something crazy, are you interested?” So this year I couldn’t resist! I’m excited to share the pro-life message!

Clare Eckard

Rider

Hello all! My name is Clare Eckard, and I am from Okoboji, Iowa. I am a freshman at Ave Maria University where I am majoring in Political Science. I first heard of Biking for Babies in February from a friend, and I decided to “Just do it!” Thus, yes, this will be my first ride. I can’t wait to use the talents God has given to us for His glory, for the effort of protecting life, and for upholding the worth of all individuals!

Katie Koetz

Support Crew

Hi everyone! My name is Katie Koetz, and I live on a farm outside of Dubuque, Iowa! I recently graduated from Loras College with a double major in Religious Studies and Social Work. I now work as a social worker in a Dubuque nursing home. This will be my first time journeying with Biking for Babies! I have a passion for protecting life of all ages, but especially the most vulnerable of all people, the unborn and the older population (as you can see by the profession I chose)! I am looking forward to spreading the Lord’s message of life and love!

Kristin Anderson

Support Crew

Hey everyone! Kristin Anderson here, I live in Roselle IL and I am currently a student at the local community college, majoring in special education. This will be my first time participating in B4B and I am excited to be a support crew member in the van. I got interested in B4B when I heard such great feedback from friends and my brother Dan who rode last year on the New Orleans team. I think God has blessed us with such a great opportunity for our pro-life generation.

Sheila Regan

Support Crew

Hello! My name is Sheila Regan, and I am from Chicago, IL. This is my first year on the support team for Biking for Babies. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I majored in Religious Studies and first became involved in the pro-life movement! I love kids, and I currently spend most of my days with them since I work as a nanny. I am very much looking forward to accompanying the bikers on their journey this summer, and I hope that our efforts will help many women choose life for their children!
